More manufacturing weakness, Fed report says

In the latest signal of the nation's manufacturing weakness, industrial production fell in April, according to a report released by the Federal Reserve on Thursday, with the decline wider than economists expected.

Industrial production decreased 0.7% from the previous month, a much bigger decline than economists surveyed by Briefing.com expected. Economists had expected industrial production to decrease by only 0.3%.
