China Furthers U.S. Working Woes

Lawmakers and union leaders are angry at China’s decision to finish building its U.S. embassy in Washington D.C. on the backs of hundreds of Chinese laborers, instead of American workers. Many view this as a slap in the face since U.S. unemployment is rising and China continues to remain uncooperative on various trade issues.

China continues to show a lack of interest to accommodate the American worker in difficult economic times. The U.S. totaled a record $256 billion trade deficit last year with China while total debt purchased recorded $506.6 billion as of May. China’s poor foreign relations with their number-one trade partner – The U.S. – should be reevaluated and amended to benefit Americans.

Listen to Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Laura Ingraham, Michael Savage, Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, and all the other right-wing bloviators. They absolutely deny that anything's seriously wrong with our current economic policies, and refer to those who do see the truth as various kinds of idiots, morons, retards, loonies, whackos, and Chicken Littles. These people have millions of admiring, fawning, eagerly believing listeners, viewers, and readers who blindly believe every word they say without question like it's Holy Gospel. If America is going to avert catastrophe, it can only happen if there is unity of purpose. We are nowhere near to that. Half this country can't even be bothered to vote in a Presidential election, and of the 54% who do vote, (allegedly)half voted twice to install the biggest, the greediest, the most arrogant, money and power-hungry pack of thieves, thugs, crooks, shysters, and whores in history into the halls of power. Reversing that kind of firmly entrenched, bone-deep stupidity would be difficult in the best of circumstances. With the likes of Limbaugh, Coulter, Ingraham, Savage, O'Reilly, and Hannity reinforcing it on a daily basis, it is pretty much impossible. The USA had a great run. The good news is, there will be a detailed record of how our economic collapse came to be that future nations can learn from and hopefully avoid repeating the mistakes we made.

More like, "we did this to ourself". Do lawmakers actually expect China to look out for American workers? That's what we pay them to do. And we the American people allow China AND our U.S. leaders to screw us! I for one, DO NOT buy anything from Walmart and try to support our local small businesses, even if it means doing without some things.

Why be mad at the Chinese Goverment? They are doing what our goverment fails to do. They are looking out for their people in all their dealings. And really think about it, what are you going to do? Stop going to Walmart? America is England at the early begining 1900s, slowly bleeding. We bring this on to ourselfs while shopping and not caring about where it comes from. Accept it, I have.

China is doing this because it can get away with it. If I were China, I would do the same thing. The US has no leverage on China. China is financing our wars of aggression and our trade deficits. It currently holds $1.4 trillion. If the US complains about anything, China can threaten to stop paying for our wars, or, worse yet, it can threaten to dump its dollar holdings on the market, making the US currency worthless. It already threateded to do this last August.
