guest says "Research, advanced technology and a lot of brains" on 11/05/09
America needs a lot of people with brains, with ability to invent, to design, to research new territories and to deal with advanced technology. This is the only hope the US has. In past, the US used to pinch the best brains from all over the world irregardless of nationality, faith and background until the US started to get political, xenophobic and greedy. Most of the people with brains that came to US in the 1920s-1970s in the US are immigrants and they virtually build the US into an empire. Then the US started to get xenophobic and mistreating as well as removing those who has the brains. These people left the US and make some other countries great.

The Institute for America's Future and the AAM put out a report called "Building the New Economy" that looks like a report supporting American Recovery and Reinvestment Act written by a Lawyer nonetheless.

At this rate am ready to throw in the towel. Parasites are everywhere.

Did anybody ever asked the Alliance what it would take for the American manufacturing (not foreign manufacturing in the USA) to succeed and have plenty of American jobs and not work-visa jobs?

I do not think our policy makers took the time to ask, otherwise we would not be in this mess. It is like driving in the fog at night with headlamps and fog lamps off.
