Sharp Drop for Stocks +  


Though markets did finish in the red yesterday that slump is no comparison to the enormous drop at the open Tuesday. Within one hour American markets were down roughly 2 percent, pushing the Dow Jones below 10,000 points once again.

Stock Gains Could be Limited +  


Markets seemed set for an early jump this morning, but that is no guarantee of a strong finish. Stocks started well during trading Monday, but yet another downgrade of Greece’s debt rating led to an afternoon sell-off.

America -- The Bell Tolls for Thee +  


Like a homeowner owing four times income, belt- tightening and a longer repayment period aren't enough.

Stocks Drop Sharply +  


After an hour and a half the Dow was down 300 points. If the markets were to close now they would have essentially erased all gains from 2010.

BP has already failed on its promise to promptly fund all financial claims resulting from the spill. The oil giant spared no expense when it came to funding television and radio commercials and building a claims website.

Tuesday was a sad day for this country. The House had the opportunity to stop the war in Afghanistan in its tracks. Instead it voted to continue to fund the war approving the $58.8 billion war funding bill.
