Free trade is killing our economy. It is tearing the nation apart. We must get out of the World Trade Organization and run the country for the good of the nation again. We must reverse the Citizens United ruling and stop letting these top earners control American politics. We have become a plutocracy—a nation run by the rich for the rich. We must restore our government to a democratic republic so that our leaders work for the American people again.

Trans-Pacific Partnership: A Race to the Bottom
The United States seems to possess the unique ability to hurt its own economy. We have passed numerous detrimental trade agreements in recent decades because we have not learned from the mistakes of past agreements. Politicians have railed against NAFTA in their campaigns, but once they take office they do not act on their campaign promises. Instead, they pass more free trade agreements. These countries supply our consumption while simultaneously competing fiercely against our companies in international markets. India, Japan, China and the European Union consistently rail against “protectionism” in the U.S.
America’s Decline Since the WTO
On January 1, 1995, the U.S. government joined the World Trade Organization. Unfortunately for our nation’s workforce, the WTO is run by multinationalists. It is a self-serving and undemocratic organization that operates outside of our control. Our constitution states that all treaties made under the authority of the United States become supreme law of the land. When our government signed this treaty, it effectively sold away a piece of our sovereignty. Because we have made this mistake, the bylaws of the WTO now supersede and negate those of our very Constitution.
Where Are All Our Promised Exports?
Increasing exports has long been a campaigning point for the office of President of the United States. It is no secret that a sound trade policy must center on American-made goods hitting the shelves overseas. Every president of the last hundred years – Republican and Democrat – has understood this and searched for ways to boost exports. Recently though, their plans have increasingly failed, and the trade deficit is crippling the American economy.
