i'd think that you people would welcome any effort made by the Obama administration to tackle the problem of china. let me say china didn't just drop in our laps when obama entered office this problem has been lingering for along time,he didn't sign the contracts giving china the right and ability to sell their goods here and allow only a small amount of our goods to enter their market. no one wants to address it. the problem is not whats been done for 3 years past but whats being done today better late then never, we aren't the one's that have to deal with these problems or deal with these people we don't have any idea of what it all entails at all. sure we can sit back and grandstand and complain and act like this means nothing but how do we know, our involvement is a newspaper article or a web article or someone with an agenda telling us their bias side of everything, but we aren't the president or in the congress or senate or in china so how much really could we have to say thats meaningful, election year or not Obama is doing alot of good in this country probally to much good and showing up the republican right so of course their going to try and down play all Obama does, and in their quest to make it hard for the president their making it just that much harder on americans and our economy and job recovery, start thinking before critizing, Obamas term is almost up he may get another 4 years he maynot, but he wants to leave us in good standing with other countries and gain a balance between tradeing commerce the dollar and yen. what can it really hurt for him to want to do this. And to put it all in motion he is President Barack Obama not Reagan not carter not clintion or Rosevelt he's Obama he his own person and has his own way of doing things. Instead of only projecting a bad view on everything he does why not try and see the good in it you might just be surprised as to how relevant it all is to our well being.

By the way. We do NOT have free trade with China. China has free trade with us. We allow almost all of China's manufactured products to enter our market. We, on the other hand, are dealing with a mercantilist China that allows almost none of our goods to enter its market.

As Paul Craig Roberts, a Featured Contributor at EIC says, "The offshoring of American jobs is the antithesis of free trade." "How The Economy Was Lost," 2010, p155.

Let's be candid. The new Trade Enforcement Center is
a bureaucratic announcement that may fool some voters
into thinkingthat Mr. Obsama intends to get tough on
trade after doing very little on it after 3 years in
office. He says "they'll challenge China on its currency
manipulation". Oh sure, after he's had a dozen chances
to have the U.S. treasury department make that finding
and refused.

And like he was going to reject the three new FTA's for South Korea, Colombia, and Panama during the campaign in 2008, but then changed his position 180 degrees after the lobbyists got to him and he backed those FTAs as
good for the U.S. economy. The old Reagan saying,"Trust
verify!" is a reminder that so far, Mr. Obama doesn't
deserve our trust on trade. There's little to verify!
