Wake Up America

When we finally awake from our peaceful sleep, we will realize that ownership and control of our country has been taken from us. We are a defeated and conquered nation.

While we were sleeping, 16,613 of our wealth-generating companies permanently slipped into foreign ownership. Their future profits, which formerly supplied us with our strength and comforts, now belong to our foreign masters who have stealthily taken control of us in an economic war. We are for all intents and purposes as we were before 1776: an American Colony.

We haven’t realized it yet, as our foreign masters are good to us – for the time being. They are giving us all the money and merchandise we desire on credit, just as we supplied them after conquering them in a military war. Shouldn’t we be wary though? They may not always be as good to us in the future as we were to them in the past.

As we are not producing enough to support ourselves, the U.S. is forced to live on the funds we borrow from other countries. Yet we are destroying our credit rating with these countries; a dangerous practice, since they possess the ability to renege their finances.

We are subsidizing foreign companies so they can place their large companies here that are destroying our American owned corporations. Toyota, Honda, Kia and Nissan have built factories that are registered as American corporations. These factories assemble imported components to manufacture their cars here. There are few jobs in relation to output, and the profits are sent back to their home country. They are destroying our American auto industry. Toyota states that will turn out 500,000 cars in Kentucky per year with less than 7,000 employees. Thanks to our own help Toyota, earned billions last year. GM declared bankruptcy in 2009. Ford’s sales in America are consistently declining.

They also have a major impact on the US media through the advertising dollars that foreign companies spend and the lobbying they do in government. Who do you think spends more precious ad dollars these days – General Motors amd Ford, or Nissan, Honda, BMW and Toyota?

This is happening on a grand scale in most other industries. Why are we allowing this to happen? What kind of country have we become? What kind of future do you want for your children? At this rate, be assured it won’t be as good as yours.

Other countries are waging a planned economic war by lobbying for free trade and creating inescapable dependencies through government debt, consumer goods and employment. They dump cheap subsidized goods, forcing us to outsource or sell out, then use the proceeds to buy our remaining industries and further the cycle. By suppressing our interest rates with Treasury bond purchases, they keep us from feeling major pain.

These outright acts of economic aggression against America have gone unaddressed and unchecked for too long. 30 years of trade deficits is enough. We should demand that our representatives restore US economic independence now. Demand our government once again work for American companies and citizens, not foreign interests.

We have to open our eyes and awake from our incapacitating sleep. Our country is slipping from our grasps and is no longer the world’s beacon of hope. We must hold our leaders to a higher standard and make them accountable for their actions if we are ever to rise from our current condition.
