Fetishized Hypercapitalism -- or – cans of Instant Fish
DISRUPTIVE INNOVATIONS, (by Prof. C.M. Christensen) for RESTORING OUR ECONOMY
To: LARRY SUMMERS, NEC (no address is made available) - From: HARRY WINTER(S)

Working for years on my paper “EE-Logos.org”, I could only imagined our future to be a . And as you said: “These problems weren’t made in … years, and they’re not going to get solved that fast…, we also have to be mindful of having the right kind of plan that will carry us forward over time.”- No “right kind of plan” came to my mind, but then it hit me --- I had already done years of work on parts of a solution.
I will explain, but first, let me say what I see as the real cause of our economic crises. Sure, the blown Housing-bubble and the failed Government-Banking-oversight have caused serious problems, but these all have well known and proven solutions. The FATAL problem for the U.S. economy is simply that wages for workers and engineers are ten times higher than those of other countries. We cannot manufactured “trade-goods” that are affordable to the rest of the World. Instead, we have a Huge Trade Deficit of $750 Billion and factories are closing at an alarming rate. Soon, will have completely our Nation. Our politicians never mention this, because - they have no answers for it! - (answers next page)

The $787 Billion STIMULUS-program does not address the above problem at all; it stimulates only the local economy weakly in an undifferentiated way. --- This program is obviously not the “right kind of plan” Larry; because it is based on a WRONG DIAGNOSIS, assuming we are only dealing with a cyclic recession. As Business Professor Peter Morici, of the University of Maryland, explains it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pF0Pv4d38UI&feature=related “A DEPRESSION is a recession that DOES NOT SELF-CORRECT , because of fundamental structural problems in the economy, such as or a .”

We have BOTH SYMPTONS, and a , which clearly indicates that we were already heading for a MAJOR DEPRESSION years ago. The “stimulus treatment”, recommended by our so called will work only for a ; it never had the ability to miraculously restore our very sick economy. Insisting that this faulty-diagnosis is still correct will cause great misery for tens of Millions and even death to hundreds of thousands of our U.S. citizens. --- Is that Treason by Incompetence?

How can our Business Professors believe in a , which restores our Economy miraculously back to life, by adding Billions of dollars? --- It’s like believing in cans of , by adding Galons of water. (Webster’s defination: fetish adj. [
Author Iain Banks observed this years ago, when he wrote:
”It is in the elevation of this profoundly mechanistic (and in that sense perversely innocent) [capitalistic] system to a position above all other moral, philosophical and political values and considerations that humankind displays most convincingly both its present intellectual immaturity and - through grossly pursued selfishness (rather than the applied hatred of others) a kind of synthetic evil.”

For a time I was baffled when none of the “Stimulus money” was ever directed towards the which our country. The new term of has now opened my eyes. It works by Magic, STUPID! – If you have ever tried to fix things by MAGIC you’ll understand that our economy can’t be restored that way. Understanding that this DEPRESSION can last for decades is easy, my solution is more difficult to comprehend. You need to read my web-pages and do some study on Prof. Christensen’s work, but you don’t need to understand my DSO design, it just works even without magic.

---------------------- “It only takes a few Good Men to do Nothing … ----------------
for evil to persist”, (as a famous American once said), --- or to let a . In my paper, (http://www.msmisp.com/futuretest/index.htm ) I am quoting CEOs Craig Barret, Tim Ferguson, Jack Gifford, Andy Grove, Brian Halla, Jeffrey Immelt, Ben G. Streetman --- and they are certainly “good men”, because they have honestly made public what their sharp intellect tells them. --- Question is, will these seven “good men” ever do anything EFFECTIVE to help their country. At this time they have not even hinted at any remedies, and have not responded to the proposal in my papers. All these “7 good-men” however, have been preaching for years that the main reason for the economic collapse in our Nation is the FATAL PROBLEM of a Huge Foreign Trade Deficit. We just cannot manufacture “trade goods” anymore that are affordable to the rest of the World, simply because wages for our workers and engineers are ten times higher than those of other nations. Our factories are now closing down at an alarming rate and Outsourcing will soon have completely deindustrialized our Nation. --- One CEO, Jeong Kim of BTL, the company I worked for all my life, realized that the U.S. is no place befitting BTL anymore and moved it to 54 rue de la Boe’tie 75008 PARIS FRANCE. --- I must agree with him that there certainly is no simple solution as long as we are looking for the the , the .

What we need are -– CREATIVE --- solutions instead.
We need new kinds of Skunk-Works to stay afloat in this “Economic War”. Not for inventing superior products that fly higher and faster, as it was for the original Skunk-Works, but to create COST/PERFORMANCE - BREAKTHEOUGHS with , (which is a discovery by Harvard Professor C.M. Christensen.) This would allow us to put our people back to work again with acceptable wages. Can it be done? Yes, I can prove it, if only for a single line of products, mind you, I am just ONE engineer. The first product of the line should be marketed as a PROVE of CONCEPT in the shortest possible time, which can be just a few months, because I already worked on it for more than <10 engineering man-years>. This product will have a cost advantage> and can be manufactures with $35 hourly wages in the U.S., but sold even on the Chinese market. This product alone would provide us with $100 Million annual profits, but more importantly, it would bring hundreds of previously suppressed ideas from other creative engineers out into the open.

A disclosure of this kind will highlight the difference between Prof. Christensen’s observations about CEOs of industry suppressing disruptive ideas (page 5) versus quickly implementing these innovations and getting Millions of our citizens back to work again. To survive this “Economic War” we need to forcefully convince our Business Leaders to embrace these innovations instead of suppressing them. - This requirement is THE MAJOR OBSTACLE to this proposal, because Prof. Christensen also observed that “Never in history have the leading companies in an industry led a disruptive revolution”. --- In fact, they haven’t even done so when their own survival was at stake, as the demise of the mini-computer companies has shown. - So why should they do it now when only the survival of our country is at stake? --- They won’t! --- Do we have a President who has what it takes to confront these CEOs and enforce developments of at all R&D centers that are still operating in the U.S.? --- I truly wish we do! --- The alternative is this which is already beginning to cause misery for tens of Millions and will eventually kill hundreds of thousands of our citizens.
Are you asking me Mr. CEO, “How can you expect thousand of engineers to come up with more of your “hair-brained” idea of innovations? --- First, as I said, it is not my “hair-brained” idea, but the discovery of Professor Christensen’s of the Harvard School of Business. In my opinion his research is the most important finding by Harvard in a century. Second, I myself got 11 patens which are of this kind. --- And while I only have average engineering abilities, my inventions all worked and several that went into large scale production proved to be extremely reliable in the field. This reliability and my designs being always on schedule were appreciated by management. However, the much lower cost for my designs was not. (Less profits) --- About answering your “question” Mr. CEO, Sorry, I don’t have a definite answer, --- I just have Hope ---, which is surely needed, because, --- RIGHT NOW WE ARE LOOSING THIS ECONOMIC WAR ---

One thing that a lot of people have missed in this recent economic down turn is the fact that in-game money for all of the massive mutliplayer online role playing games has not been effected. I guess it just shows how strong and stable the computer game industry really is.
