I am plotting a imagesc with (x, y, Z). On top of that I would like to plot the contour lines with constant values of z. Could you please help me with it?... I know there is the 'contour' or 'contourf' commands, which deal with my issue. But in my case I have a patch image and would like to keep this image and just draw the level lines into this image.

Unfortunately, computation time is slow, it takes several minutes because my Z is large and I am trying to get a lot of countour lines out of it.
